ABOUT ABOUT

There are over 6000 victims of human sex trafficking each day in Alabama. All genders, ethnicities, ages, and races are being sold for sex against their will in all 50 states and District of Columbia. Human trafficking is believed to be the third-largest criminal activity in the world. In a two-part series, Dr. Ashley Hodges will discuss sex trafficking in Alabama, how practitioners can identify and engage patients who have been trafficked and best practices to follow in a clinical setting to help those who are being trafficked access to services.
